News update: 
We had a wonderful day. The students were really well behaved on the flight, and the cabin crew commented on how well behaved they were - thumbs up!!!!! All the students were smiling and feeling happy on meeting their partners. Both teachers enjoyed an afternoon walking around Ochsenwang, overlooking Bissingen in the glorious sunshine enjoying the last of the summer warmth, and we didn't receive any phone calls so we know all is well!!
