German exchange - Thursday

We started the day in school.  Ten of our students were in one German class and they played games in a circle.  First they learnt a German name game and then taught the German students "Splat"!  They finished with a game that involved swapping places if you met certain criteria.  The English students spoke German and the German students spoke English during the game - perfect! 

 Then we went to the Rathaus (town hall) and had a talk from the Bürgermeister (mayor).  The students asked good questions and then signed the visitor's book.  Two were able to find where they had signed it last year.

Then we returned to school and our students were able to work with younger German students in the classroom. 

German exchange - Wednesday in Ulm.

Today the English students and their German partners went to the beautiful city of Ulm.  First there was a guided tour of the town and then time for lunch and shopping.  Afterwards most went up the church tower, the tallest in Europe.  A very hard climb, there were some shaking legs afterwards.  Finally we took the opportunity to get a group photo.

Visit to Tübingen - German exchange.

A day in the beautiful university city of Tubingen.  In the morning punting and then lunch and shopping time and in the afternoon a guided tour.  We found out about the history of the city and visited a church.  Even a little rain did not dampen the spirits, our guide's shirt would brighten anyone's day!
